In this post I will tell how the players in the draft will do in the NBA.
I will only be covering the top 7 picks. (lottery picks)
NOTE: THIS POST WILL BE VERY LONG
76-ers: Pick No.1
Ben SimmonsBen is the best player in the draft. I think he will do GREAT in the NBA. Lot's of people agree with that. The 6-ers are in need of a leader to make them better.
The 76-ers are coming off a season going 10-72, the exact opposite of the '95-'96 bulls, the 2nd best record in the NBA!
I believe that Ben will lead the 6-ers to the 10th in the Eastern Conference, moving up 5 spots!
Simmons' stats: 17.4 ppg, 11.8 rpg, 4.8 apg, 3.4 spg, 34.9 mpg
Los Angeles Lakers: Pick No.2
Brandon Ingram
Brandon was drafted by the Lakers at Small Forward. The SF position is the one position the Lakers really needed. Brandon is very similar to Kevin Durant in play-style, he shoots the three very well and can spread the floor great.
Ingram at 6-9 has an INSANE wingspan of 7-3!
In my opinion the Lakers will make it to the playoffs if they can also sign a big name free-agent with all their money.
Ingram's stats: 17.3 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.1 spg, 1.4 bpg
Boston Celtics: Pick No.3
Jaylen Brown
Jaylen is from Cal and the golden bears. I think that Brown will be a 6 man on the Celtics I also think that Brown will start soon as he has the most potential in the draft in my opinion. Brown also has the potential to be a lockdown defender against other small forwards in the league.
But Brown has to work on cutting down on his turnovers, just like most the players in this year's draft.
Brown's Stats: 14.6 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.9 apg, 27.6 mpg
Phoenix Suns: Pick No.4
Dragan Bender
Bender is a 7 foot shooter. Many people are worried about this pick, because he never played in college. Bender also raises concerns because he isn't a person that you can play though which is what the suns need most. Bender is good in his shooting though, his 3p% was 73% in the winner cup, and in the euro league he averaged 25% on his 3-pointers.
Bender is also a hi IQ player at shooting and passing.
Dragan barely played in Europe, and picking him is a HUGE risk, also.
Bender's Stats (Winner League): 7 GP, 10.5 MPG, 2.1 PPG, 1.4 RPG, 0.57 APG, 0.29 SPG, 0.63 BPG,
Minnesota Wolves: Pick No.5
Kris Dunn
This pick was one of the one's I was scratching my head to why they pick him.
The Wolves already have 2 solid point guards, in LaVine, and Rubio.
Although I don't like this pick, Dunn is a guard with a LOT of potential. Dunn is a great rebounder for his size, at 6-4.
Dunn is also a good solid passer for any team, especially the Wolves with Mohammed, Towns, and
LaVine.
Dunn is good for trading. Lots of teams wanted Dunn but didn't get him.
Kris needs to also cut down on his turnovers, because he is averaging 3.5 turnovers a game. Dunn is also at risk in injuries as in his first two seasons in college.
Dunn's Stats: 16.4 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 6.2 apg, 2.4 spg, 33.0 mpg
New Orleans Pelicans: Pick No.6
Buddy Hield
Buddy is in my opinion the best player to have on your team.
Hield is an amazing three point shooter, and he can also attack the rim and get points.
There isn't much flaws with Hield, but there is some still. Hield is turnover prone. But he will still usually get as many assists as turnovers, If not more.
Hield is also surprisingly good at rebounding as he averaging almost 6 rebounds a game.
Buddy has had 20 points in a half 10 TIMES!
Hield's stats: 25.0 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 2.9 apg,1.1 spg, 35.4 mpg
Denver Nuggets: Pick No.7
Jamal Murray
Murray has great size for a point guard at 6-5.
Murray is a great player to play though, as he averages 20.0 points per game.
Jamal is also a great three point shooter.
Murray in my opinion is very similar to Chauncey Billups.
Jamal is a solid free-throw shooter but needs to improve even more, in college last year he averaged about 75% at the line.
20.0 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 2.2 apg,1.0 spg, 25.2 mpg
That concludes this post!
IM SO SO sorry for in-activity.
